You may have a completely different opinion of a property if you tour it at night than you did during the day. 6.) Get a home inspector’s report before making an offer

7) Don’t be afraid to ask for help
If you’re not sure about something, don’t be afraid to ask your real estate agent or lender. They are there to help you and want you to be as successful as possible in this process. Buying a home is a huge investment, so it’s important to educate yourself on all of the pertinent information.
8) Remember to have a written offer ready to present
When you find the perfect house, be prepared with a written offer. You’ll need to put in writing who you are, how much you’re offering, and what closing costs you are willing to pay. This will help speed the process along when negotiating with the seller.
