Finding a Winter Coat

I’m in a bit of a pickle at the moment. I’ve got three winter coats, but none of them is quite doing the job for me at the moment. The first is a black wool coat that I bought when I worked in an office. It’s decent quality and warm but is a bit too formal to go with my usual mum uniform of jumper, jeans and Converse! The second is a proper Berghaus hiking jacket which is super warm and weatherproof, but a bit too out-doorsy for every day. The last is a gilet, which I absolutely love, and it would be perfect…if only it had arms! I decided to take a look at women’s jackets from Superdry to see if I could find something which covers all of the bases and this is what I found:

Classic Rookie Fishtail Parka Coat

You can’t go wrong with a classic parka and this one looks lovely and cosy, with the fur trim around the hood. . The parka features a hood with detachable faux fur trim, zip and popper fastening, popper cuffs and four external pockets. Inside the coat is fleece lined and has a drawstring adjustable waist

Luxe Super Fuji Mix Jacket

I definitely like the thought of a longer coat – some of the shorter winter coats are what my lovely mother in law would call “bum freezers” and I have to agree. This jacket offers great protection from the elements while looking really neat and stylish.

Kiki Leather Biker Jacket

I’ve been coveting a leather jacket for absolutely ages and this one is a great shape and style. Leather is great for keeping the wind out, and when you spend a lot of time standing in windy playgrounds, that’s a definite bonus. There’s something a bit egdey about a leather biker jacket and I love the fact that you can dress is up or down, depending on your outfit.

SD Girlfriend Sherpa Jacket

I’ve always had a thing for Sherpa jackets and this Superdry one is so cute, with the patches and little details. Obviously, I won’t be copying the model and going bare-midriff underneath it, but I think it could make a really nice, fashionable alternative to a stuffy winter coat.

Which coat do you think you’d choose from Superdry? Leave me a comment below.

4 Ways to Look After Yourself This Winter

winter self-careWith winter comes late, but beautiful sunrises and glorious sunsets, not forgetting gorgeous walks through the frozen countryside and the twinkling lights of the festive season. But when you’re a parent, winter also means snotty noses, chapped lips, coughs, colds, the flu and of course, those dreaded sickness bugs that spread like wildfire.

Getting sick of the winter season is often inevitable, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take steps to look after yourself, even if you are a busy parent. So, don’t just battle through it – here are some help tips and advice you can take to help you look after yourself this winter.

Looking good makes you feel good

Yep. When it comes to winter, with harsh winds, driving rain and bitter snow, many of us don’t bother with makeup or even moisturiser. But if you don’t take the time to look after yourself, then you’re going to run yourself down and be more susceptible to illness. So, take the time to moisturise your skin, and don’t cancel that microblading appointment – what is microblading, you ask? Click the link to find out more – make sure you take those extra vitamins and put your feet up once in a while. Your body and mind will thank you.

Kill the germs at the source

If you’re really worried about flu and sickness bugs this winter then it’s important to try and kill them off at the source, and that means regular handwashing. Make sure everyone in the house is following a strict handwashing routine, which means washing after the using the bathroom and before eating, and especially if they sneeze or use a tissue. It’s also a good idea to get the kids to wash their hands when they come home from school. Remember to regularly wipe down door handles, light switches and even the TV remote to keep the germs at bay!

Go outside

It might seem like you’re exposing yourself to more germs but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Getting outside will certainly give your immune system a boost and it’s certainly better than sitting inside the stuffy house. Even if you just bundle up for a short walk around the block, your vitamin D levels will certainly enjoy a boost from the sunlight and your mood will certainly rise. Giving your mental health a much needed boost too.

Keep hydrated

We tend to drink more in the summer time because, quite simply – we’re thirstier! In the cold weather, a cold glass of water might not have the same appeal as it does on a scorching day but staying hydrated will certainly keep those nasties at bay. If you don’t fancy water then try some simple fruit juice or fruit infused water. Treat yourself to a new water bottle so you’re reminded to drink the recommended amount of water per day. Drinking plenty will keep UTI’s at bay, as well as helping your joints to stay flexible and supple – it helps with brain function too!

Staying Toasty Over the Winter

Photo by Sergei Solo on Unsplash

Yes, it’s on the way, alright! The mornings have a definite chill to them and the leaves are turning a lovely shade of russet. Aesthetics aside, the thermometer will start to head downwards and you’ll be eyeing up thick jumpers in shop windows. So, when the cold season comes around for real, should you pick up that thick jumper or turn the thermostat up?

That full tank, courtesy of Supersaveroil.ie, came pretty cheap over the summer, but you shouldn’t be so smug about it – you have to make it last until March! Here’s some good ideas to help you to do just that.

Add some new insulation

You could lose up to 60% of your hard-earned heat via the roof and walls of your home, so they both need to be insulated. You’ll need to use at least 10” of insulation material in the loft and you should examine your windows to look for – and fill in – any cracks.

Lower the heating by at least a degree

Just a degree lower can reduce your fuel oil usage by 10% and you shouldn’t even notice this, especially if you’ve used some insulation and less heat is escaping.

You can also start turning off your radiators 15 minutes or so before you go to bed. They’ll still be warm for a while and by the time they’ve cooled off you’ll be fast asleep with your hot water bottle!

Bleed all the radiators

You should do this at least once a year. Radiators develop air pockets and this prevents them from working properly – you’ll have to turn up the heating to get the benefit. Try to bleed them two or three times a year and especially before winter sets in.

Go retro

A great way to get the most out of your heat is to place old-fashioned insulation panels behind all your radiators. These panels look like stiff metallic bubblewrap and what they do is reflect heat back into your rooms, as otherwise it’d seep into the walls and simply get lost.

Try to service your boiler twice a year

Boilers are very complicated machines – they can develop airlocks, let in water, accumulate soot and sometimes, manage a combination of all three! Any one of these problems can reduce your boiler’s efficiency by up to 8%, so effectively, you’re wasting 8% of your fuel.

You should have a service at the end of spring and at the beginning of winter, ideally. However, if you can only manage one service, the autumn one is the one to book so you can identify and sort out problems before you’re left with no heating on the coldest day of the year.

Keep your supply safe

Fuel poverty is a problem in Ireland, with around 400,000 households spending more than 10% of their annual incomes on heating their homes. This has the knock-on effect of making fuel theft more common, so you’ll need locks on your tank at the very least. You should also keep your tank as hidden from view as possible and use motion-sensitive lights and alarms. You can also install tank sensors that alert you on your phone if oil levels suddenly drop.

Is Your Car Ready for Winter? #TestYourTreads

I don’t know if it’s just me, but after a pretty mild Autumn, it feels as though winter has sneaked up on me out of nowhere! Christmas is less than a month away but we’ve only just started wearing proper winter coats and boots and I think this year has been the latest we’ve ever put our heating on too. Living in the countryside means that we have to do certain things to prep for winter; we’re off the grid for gas, so we have to make sure we’ve had a delivery of LPG to last us, and we also use a log burner for heat which means making sure our wood is well seasoned and checking whether we might need to have more delivered.

Obviously, living remotely means that our car is really important to us, too, as we’d be stranded without it, so there are a few things we check there like anti-freeze, low-temperature screen wash and also our tyres. TyrePlus is urging everyone to #TestYourTreads to remind them that tyres which are worn below the legal limit can be even more dangerous in the winter.

Their experts say “Tyres aren’t just those great big rubber things that carry you from A to B. They’re a lot more sensitive than they look which is why we want you to help us spread the message about the importance of giving your tyres the TLC they need. They might look tough (and indeed they are) but deep down, they need a fair bit of looking after. Unfortunately, there are still far too many people who think The 20p Test is something you might find at a fairground amusement arcade.”

“This handy little test actually requires you to pop a 20p coin in the grooves of the tyre and if the outer band of the coin is visible at any point, the treads are below the legal limit. Carrying out simple checks like this one on a regular basis will keep car safety in check, reduce damage to vehicles and help eliminate unnecessary road accidents.”

A lot of people take it for granted that if their MOT is up to date then their tyres MUST be legal but this isn’t always the case, so performing the test above could really help to keep you safe. Also, take a look at any advisories on your last MOT because if your tyres were worn close to the legal limit and noted on your test, there’s a good chance they need replacing.

Obviously, the risks of having unsafe tyres are potentially fatal, so I’m sure I don’t need to reiterate how important it is to check them. What are you waiting for? Check them NOW!

6 Winter Makeup Tips

Winter is upon us, and that means different things for many of us depending on where we live. However, overall it typically equates to cooler outdoor temperatures and indoor heat so it’s best to be ready for the changes this will bring. And while we need to moisturize and hydrate more to combat the evils of dry skin, our makeup will need to change as well.

Don’t worry if you’re watching your pennies, as these aren’t huge changes by any means … but changes nonetheless. Need some cold weather inspiration? Read on for six winter makeup tips that will keep you glowing during these colder months without opting for permanent make-up.

  1. Go Lighter with Your Foundation

Even if you were diligent with your sunscreen over the summer, you likely had at least a hint of a tan. In fact, you probably had to go darker with your foundation because of it. Unless you plan on vacationing to tropical areas all winter long (lucky you!), it’s time to go back to a shade that’s a better match to your natural skin tone.

  1. Fixing Fun with Correctors

No one’s skin is flawless (even you, Kate Beckinsale) but our flaws tend to become more apparent during the winter. This is probably because we don’t have the benefit of hiding behind the aforementioned tan. Don’t fret, though, as a good corrector can do the trick. Hiding dark spots, blemishes, and other imperfections, a palette with various shades of correctors is a makeup artist’s favorite tool. Not only will this corrector conceal your flaws but it will also brighten the skin during the winter months.

  1. Bring on the Bronzer and/or Self-Tanner

If you’ve got Nicole Kidman-esque porcelain skin, go ahead and rock that all winter long. The rest of us often need a bit of help to look as though we haven’t actually died without anyone knowing. Most everyone looks good with color, so work with a makeup artist at your favorite cosmetics store to find a bronzer or self-tanner that will give you a sun-kissed look without getting orange in the process.

  1. Get Festive with Blush and Highlighter

Many women assume they can’t pull off highlighter, but everyone can and should! Again, if you’re not confident in your ability to apply this fun kind of cosmetic to your face, ask a makeup artist for help. Combined with just the right amount of blush, this can be a magical look. While a powder highlighter would be fine, a liquid one would be even better for winter. And if you’re going to a holiday or New Year’s Eve party, you might even consider choosing one with a bit of shimmer. Have some fun!

  1. Beware of Pores

We want to avoid doing our makeup in such a way that our pores becoming visibly obvious. What will help with that is a good primer, as this helps makeup to avoid going into the cracks and pores. This will also help to avoid highlighting wrinkles, so it’s a win/win. You also want to stay away from anything too powdery during the winter and stick to dewy products due to dry skin.

As celebrity makeup artist Nick Barose says via Allure magazine, “Powder can make fair skin look duller.” Instead, he says to go with a moisturizing cream that’s one shade warmer than your own skin tone.

  1. Keep Those Lips Luscious

We all have friends who are lipstick addicts but the harsh truth is that, if your lips are prone to cracking during the winter, lipstick is only going to highlight this. You can opt for a moisturizing lipstick or stick with a tinted lip balm. The latter is handy for that time under the mistletoe during the holiday season.

The winter months can be harsh on our skin so we need to give it a good base by getting plenty of rest, keeping up with our cleansing routine, and perhaps even giving a bit more TLC with hydrating masks. But beyond that—if you follow these makeup tips during these colder months—you will have that glowing, dewy skin many assume you can only get during the summer months.

How to Stay in Fashion This Winter

We know that sometimes it might turn out to be very difficult to catch up on all the trends following each season. However, to be up to date with the latest trends does not mean necessarily that you need to go over your usual budget reserved for shopping. We all know that fashion changes very often and it is very hard for certain items to resist the passage of time. This is why whenever you are thinking to follow the latest fashion trends, you should focus more on achieving a personal style, which should consist in clothes you feel comfortable in. It may be that you see a certain item on display at various fashion shops and decide to buy it only because of it very trendy this winter.

However, your decision of buying certain items should not depend mainly on that. Not only may it be that the item you want to buy to be trendy might not be fashionable next winter, there are also high chances that the item might not suit your body proportions. When choosing an item of clothing, the first test that you need to apply to your decision of buying it is the fact that it needs to be suitable for you and to match your taste and personality.

How Can You Adapt Trends to Your Own Personality (and Budget)?

It is said that the first impression is always more important than anything else, as this is the first contact anyone will have with you. The first 10 seconds are crucial for catching the eye and attention of your interlocutors, so making a memorable appearance is highly important. Some people correlate a good impression with fashionable clothes, as wearing the latest trends might mean that you are actually updated with everything new in fashion and have a good budget to invest. Investing in one’s image is actually important, however, buying expensive clothes is not always the case.

There are designers who support the idea that some fashion items are so expensive that you are not actually buying the material of the clothing piece or the design behind it, but the brand itself. Even if they work in this industry, some of them strongly disagree with the idea that an item’s price should be influenced only by the brand that created that item. Moreover, one of our society’s biggest issue is mass-consumption and clothes are on the top list of industries, which are pushed up to the extreme by the not so well-founded trend of buying many clothes. The same happens when results won’t show up if you keep playing the same game at maria.com casino and see you don’t have any luck – you might need to simply take a break or try another game that suits you better.

Investing on Clothes This Winter

Buying a huge volume of clothes and change them every season just because they grew out of fashion the following year is irrational and supports one of the industry’s most acute problems mentioned earlier. Instead, you should focus on some pieces which are a statement for this winter and which will help you be fashion no matter the season:

  • Although some of us considered them out of fashion already, the fashion designers seem to have re-invented them and placing them in the current fashion. Moreover, they are a cosy and warm alternative to the traditional tights, which is one more reason to have them.
  • Overcoats with navy pattern. An elegant overcoat is a must-have in every woman’s wardrobe, for the more elegant choices when you need something on top to keep you warm. Also, the navy pattern is in fashion for some time now and seems to be staying for a while.

  • 90’ platform boots. These boots have made an extraordinary comeback in fashion and they are becoming a classical model already.
  • In case you already have one at home, you can actually combine it with a dress on top and re-create a brand new look for this winter. Be careful with your proportions and make sure that everything you put on is suited to your body and personality.

Do I Need to Buy New Clothes Every Season?

All in all, wearing all the fashion trends which are circulating every season is not an ideal solution. What you could do instead is to invest in some classical items, which you can combine with other items in your wardrobe and manage to have some spectacular looks. You can try with some of the fashion trends for this winter presented above. Happy shopping!

Keep The Kids Happy This Winter With An Exciting Austrian Retreat

If you’re looking for the ideal family holiday destination this winter, look no further than a Kristall Spaces property for sale within Austria. Boasting a gigantic range of illustrious apartments available to rent or buy, they host several luxury Alpine ski resorts across Austria, in some of the most scenic locations the country has to offer. You can enjoy the peace and quiet, go skiing with your family, and take part in a huge selection of activities and attractions – all you need to decide is what to do first!

Situated in some of the most beautiful regions of the Austrian Alps, each resort and its accompanying apartments boast every conceivable amenity for you and your family to enjoy, with winter activities such as skiing and snowboarding, indoor and outdoor heated pools, cinemas, restaurants, gyms, and underground parking. For the more summer-related ventures, abseiling, trekking and hiking are all popular choices. Each resort also has a ‘nursery slope’ intended for helping children learn how to ski, and there are many professional trainers and tutors available to help you get that head start and stay safe in the snow.

According to City A.M., there is a marked increase in the number of Brits looking to purchase property in Austria, citing the security of their property rental returns throughout the year. This makes Kristall Spaces properties incredibly versatile, since you can choose whether you simply want a short stay on rental, or an investment purchase that generates income while you’re away and increases in value at an average growth rate of 4.6%. That alone could pay for your child’s university fees!

Forbes also commented on the changes observed over the last few years, stating that many tourists now see Austria as a fantastic holiday destination in both the summer and winter months.

A similar sentiment was echoed by the Telegraph, in an article that encourages parents to take their children on a skiing holiday, and that such resorts are a lot more family-friendly than most people would believe.

There is already a diverse selection of resorts available on Kristall Spaces, with constant developments adding new apartments and resorts year after year. Destinations that already have their own resorts include Fieberbrunn, Ischgl, Karwendel, St Anton, Kühtai, Ötztal and Sölden.

Cosy Autumn Fashion & Celebs Who Are Rocking It

Although Summer is by far my favourite season, one thing I love about Autumn and Winter is the fashion. Cosy knitted jumpers, jeans and boots are basically my winter uniform, and I’m also a huge fan of oversized knitted dresses which I can team with tights and boots too. I spend a lot of time in and out of the car on a normal day, doing school and nursery runs, gym drop-offs, shopping and all the other errands I run during the day so I tend to wear a padded gilet rather than a full coat as it’s more comfy to drive in and layering high-quality knitwear underneath is a must for keeping my arms warm!

I was thinking about all the celebrity looks that I love for the AW17 season (as well as the state of fashion executive recruitment in 2018) and I thought I’d share a few of them with you for your own inspiration:

Emma StoneEmma Stone Looking Cosy

I’m a huge fan of Emma Stone’s style – she keeps things chic and simple, choosing a jumper with a bold asymmetric print and teams with classic blue jeans and black ankle boots. The camel coat looks amazing on her, especially with her colouring, and the whole outfit looks casual and cosy without sacrificing style.

Katy HolmesKaty Holmes Looking Cosy

Katy Holmes has always had what I would describe as a proper ‘grown up’ sense of style. Her clothes look practical and cosy (apart from the shoes – the tops of my feet feel cold just looking at her!) and on anyone else they might look pretty basic but somehow she makes them pop. I love the combination of knitwear with a leather jacket for the combinations of fabrics and textures.

Lily CollinsLily Collins Looking Cosy

Lily Collins is basically wearing what I spend most of winter and autumn in, here! Large chunky jumpers, skinny jeans and slouchy boots – it’s a personal fave which can be switched up by choosing different colours or difference types of knitwear. Lily has kept it simple, but I also find adding a necklace or bracelets takes the look to the next level.

Olivia PalermoOlivia Palermo Looking Cosy

Given the fact that I was a HUGE fan of The Hills and was OBVIOUSLY #TeamLauren, I find it hard giving props to Olivia Palermo as we ALLLL know what a cow she was to our beloved Lauren, but there’s no denying that she has an incredible sense of style. She always looks sleek and ‘put together’, even when rocking a winter outfit and I absolutely love the button detailing on her military-style trousers, adding a bit of bling to an otherwise low-key look. The addition of the faux fur proves you don’t have to sacrifice style to be cosy.

Rosie Huntington-WhiteleyRosie Huntington-Whiteley Looking Cosy

I’m a HUUUGE fan of greys and monochrome looks at the moment, grey is basically MY colour (is it even a colour, though?) so this outfit is really appealing to me. I love the fact that Rosie’s sleeves are long and oversized, letting them peek out of the bottom of her coats sleeves and ripped black jeans are LIFE.

Which celebrity’s style are you loving at the moment? Leave me a comment below!

Hot Items to Wear this Fall

The leaves are turning, the weather’s cooler, and it’s time to break out the sweaters. This season, don’t wear the same stuffy pullovers that have collected moth holes over the last year. It’s time to update your wardrobe with this season’s latest trends. Designers combined comfort and cool this year with a diverse array of textures, silhouettes, and colors. Whether you want overhaul your whole look or you want to add a few statement pieces, these are the latest trends in fall fashion.

Fall Florals

Florals aren’t just for spring this year. From scarlet roses to purple chrysanthemums, this season’s florals come in dark, broody, and romantic colors. Rich hues and jewel tones blossomed over the runways and onto dresses, skirts, blouses, coats, and shoes. They’re budding on every piece of clothing as designers turn to nature for inspiration. Give your usual look a twist with a floral-embroidered leather jacket.

Boots of All Shapes

Boots are a staple for any fall and winter wardrobe. This season’s boots come in all shapes, styles, and colors. From slim over-the-knee boots to discrete ankle boots, you can find a pair for any look. Leather isn’t the only kind of boot to wear this year. Try suede, silk, velvet, embroidered, and knit fabrics this season.

Old West

This rustic style is more than just cowboy boots and daisy dukes. This style harkens to the 1970’s with tweed coats, turquoise jewelry, and big-buckled belts. Ditch the boho-chic look in favor this type of earthy style. The casual-cool look of corduroy, cowhide, and patchwork fabrics make this look as retro as it is whimsical. Whether you’re a southern belle or an urban cowgirl, a few rustic pieces will give your style a sentimental touch. You can shop in-store or find real classics online on Ebay and Etsy.

A Coat of Many Colors

Forgo the traditional pea coat for bold faux furs and shoulder pads. Statement coats are a must-have this season, and there’s one to suit every style. Pop a velvet blazer over a simple tee, or throw on an embroidered jean jacket over a silk dress. Be bold with vibrant faux furs or go classic with textured tweed. Pick out just one statement coat you can wear with almost anything, any time.

Embroidery

Embroidery was a huge trend in the spring, and it’s found its way into the fall. Embroidery is the delicate, feminine contrast to the structured, ultra-modern looks that also are also in style this season. Find embroidery on everything, including coats, jeans, blouses, skirts, and shoes. Find blooms, birds, butterflies, and more stitched into this season’s clothes.

Velvet

Velvet is a popular fabric this season. It has a beautiful texture that you can find in hats, scarves, coats, dresses, and more. Keep a velvet dress from Lulu’s in your closet that you can wear on a night out, whether it’s for date night or cocktails with the girls.

The Tuxedo

Add a masculine touch to your look with a simple tuxedo jacket. The tuxedo jacket is the perfect addition to your wardrobe that you can wear for any casual to semi-formal event. Dress it down with a pair of denim jeans or dress it up with wide-legged trousers.

Pajamas

Yes, it’s now socially acceptable to wear your pajamas outdoors. Leave the Juicy Couture sweats at home and opt for silky, luxurious pajamas. Silk button-down pajama shirts and matching trousers keep you comfy, and you can dress it up with a pair of heels or dress it down with velvet loafers. You can also mix and match your favorite pajama shirt with a pair of jeans for a cool-girl look.

Statement Jewelry

Upgrade your jeans and t-shirt with bold accessories. Earrings dangle at shoulder-length, hats come in all shapes, and rectangle sunglasses have made a comeback. Find your perfect statement watch in a variety of styles, from rose gold chains to classic leather and chronograph watches. Get creative with your accessories, and turn your outfit from drab to fab.

Whether you want to add a few modern pieces to your wardrobe or you want stand out in a crowd, you’ll turn heads with this season’s fashions.

Accessorize in Style: How to Make Your Winter Wardrobe Go from Drab to Fab

Do you think you have to spend a fortune in order to look stylish? Please think again. With the right selection of accessories, anyone can give their wardrobe a much-needed boost. In the name of budget conscious fashionistas everywhere, we are pleased to present a few tricks and tips to add life and interest to your outfits.

Switch up that little black dress

Every girl’s got to have at least one perfect ‘little black dress’ that she can dress up or down any way she likes. Timeless and sleek, your own little black dress can be dressed up with splashes of color via colorful shoes, wrists rife with bangles, and a fabulous tote bag. Dress it down French Riviera style with a printed scarf, sassy espadrille wedges, a cross-body bag, and cat-eye sunglasses, recommend fashion experts at Glamour magazine.

Go for the unexpected

Most girls, when donning a pretty party dress, opt for uncomfortable heels that flatter their legs. Be as bold as you want to be when you pull on a pair of high-end industrial moto boots instead. Heavy lug sole boots can be a surprising fashion accessory, especially when you add flirty boot socks from The Boot Cuff Store.

Never be afraid to shop in any store. Pop into a cheesy mall teen boutique as easily as you would Neiman Marcus, and you’re bound to find all sorts of accessories that work with your oh-so unique style sense. Resale shops, consignment stores, and decidedly un-classy stores like TJ Maxx and Forever 21 offer items that you won’t see on runways yet somehow work perfectly with your wardrobe, advise fashion mavens at Stylecaster magazine.

Go with your own taste, but add a twist that nobody expects. Scrunch long sleeves up your arm, and unbutton one more button. Tuck your boyfriend’s shirt into your most distressed skinny jeans, and wear sneakers to a party where every other girl is barely balancing on stiletto heels. Break the fashion rules, but do so with subtlety. Move with confidence, not arrogance, and for goodness sake, offer an authentic smile every chance you get.

Forget about labels and wear what you like

Any woman who believes that a designer label makes her cool misses the point entirely. Don’t work too hard to be stylish, and always let yourself be a little less ‘done’ than the other women you hang out with. Style is a state of mind, after all. If those super-pricey, red-soled Jimmy Choos pinch your toes and make you wobble when you walk, that is not cool. Wearing a pair of super clunky, uber comfortable combat boots and boot cuffs with your frilly party dress is.

When it comes to style, imagination, and the guts to pull it off matter so much more than anything fashion magazines purport. Wear garments that fit well, keep your clothes in good repair, and don’t be afraid to mix and match items you’ve never worn together before.
