Flashback Friday

Flashback Friday

In honour of Cafe Bebe’s 500th blog post, and her photo which represents beginnings, I thought I’d use this one which is from the beginning of mine and Husbands’ relationship. This photo was taken on 17th June 2006, the day before my 22nd birthday when Husband and I went to London to watch our favorite band, Foo Fighters, play a massive concert in Hyde Park. We had an amazing day, and when they played Everlong at the end, I thought my heart was going to explode. I still think back to that day with such  fond memories, and love the fact that Husband and I are still together, despite all the naysayers who said we rushed into things. We’d been together about 4 months at this point and were already engaged!

Look how young and carefree we look in this picture?!

You can pop over to Cafe Bebe to see all of the other Flashback Friday entries too.

  1. ah no way! i love it esp the exploding heart bit. i love that feeling. i was engaged to my hubbie after 4 months too and we got engaged at a prodigy concert. not romantic but a lush story to tell the kids! x

  2. Aw how lovely. I think time is just a number and it shouldn’t matter when you know that you’ve met the right person. My husband and I moved in together after about 5 months and we got some stick for even that! People just like to judge sometimes, I find it’s best to ignore them 😉

  3. People love to give their opinions don’t they? Only you know in your ehart if it’s right or not and I’m so glad you were right, Great flashback and happy Easter

    1. People just couldn’t accept that we knew. Not to mention, so what if we were wrong? We took a chance and will celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary this August, the day after we celebrate our beautiful daughters 3rd birthday!

  4. Bless your cotton socks! Lovely picture and lovely memory which is what Flashback Friday is all about! My husband and I have just celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary in March of this year, 6 years in total together and were engaged after 6 weeks. When it’s right, it’s right!

Have a very happy Easter weekend and thanks so much for linking up. I’m glad you enjoyed it! 😉

    1. I couldn’t agree more. If I had a pound for everytime I’ve had to say “when it’s right, you just know”, I’d be able to take the whole family back to the Maldives!
