How Do You Perceive Me? The 1 Word Meme

Well this is a record for me, FOUR blog posts in one day! But we all know I can’t resist a good meme, especially when I’m tagged by the wonderful woman behind TheBoyandMe. The meme was created by the lovely Michelle at Mummy From The Heart, who has decided to bring a bit of positivity to the blogging community. I’ll let her explain: I am creating a meme, called the 1 Word Meme and I …

First Aid Beauty Detox Eye Roller.

When I first received a press release about this little stick of magic, I actually ignored it, thinking “I don’t need anti-ageing stuff, I’m 26”. Then I looked in the mirror and saw these eyes looking back at me: It was a reminder that being ‘only 26’ means absolutely frig-all when you’ve got 949 days worth of sleepless nights, early mornings, and general maternal anxiety under your belt. That works out at about 7 and …

30 Day Song Challenge – Day Twelve

Favourite Song from a Movie I know that I featured a song from a movie yesterday too, but I think this has to be my favourite song from a movie. I adore the song in its own right but when it plays during the closing credits of the film of the same name it never fails to make me tear up. Such a briliant song, such a brilliant film.

It’s All About ME!

I’ve had an epiphany. Between the story about mums only getting 26 minutes a day to themselves, the BUPA body-age calculator which told me I was 44 (I’m 26.) and looking in the mirror and realising that I’m no longer the baby-faced cherub that I once was, I’ve decided to make the rest of March ‘All About Me’. That’s right, I’m going to dedicate March to getting a little bit of me time. I’ll be …

My Carry Potty – A Mum’s the Word Review

As many of you know, we’re starting that *ahem* wonderful phase of Sausage’s life where 90% of our days are taken up with thoughts of wee and poo. That’s right folks, we’re potty training! She’s been showing an interest in using the potty for some time, and always does her first wee of the day on the potty. She was bought some knickers for Christmas by my Nan and they’re pretty, flowery little things, which …

30 Day Song Challenge Day Eleven

A Song From Your Favourite Band I’m going to cheat a bit here, as I used Everlong by Foo Fighters as my favourite song, and they are technically my favourite band, but I do find it hard to definitively name a favourite band ever, as there’s so many that I love. So, I thought I’d choose a song from one of my favourite bands, Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band, which is played at …

Flashback Friday

For my first Flashback Friday I used a picture of my Mum and I, when I was a baby, so I thought it only right that I use a picture of me and my Dad for the next one. This picture means a lot to me, and has made me think about things differently in the last few months. I hadn’t seen it before, until my Dad got his photo albums out a while ago, …

30 Day Song Challenge – Day Ten

Favourite Music Video This is extremely tough as there as so many that I love, but I’m going to go for this one as it’s an amazing song, an epic video and features a band that I’ve loved since I was 6 years old. Not only is this video still one of the most expensive ever made, it won an MTV award for best Cinematography. [dailymotion id=x7fyc9]

Ad Sense?

What do you think of when you hear the word ‘Tampax’? I bet it’s a woman on roller skates, being pulled along by a shitload of Dalmatians, looking ever so care-free and not at all menstrual, right? Now, let me ask you this; did that advert make you go out and actually buy Tampax? Or what about an advert for Canesten? Would seeing that make you think “Hmm, I must try that over my regular …
